Welcome to Hibbly. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Hibbly governing your access to and use of our dating apps and dating online services, including the website, any related mobile experiences, and all features offered through them. By visiting, browsing or creating an account on Hibbly, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

These Terms are effective as of the date listed above and apply to every visitor and registered member. Before you create an account, review the eligibility requirements below - Hibbly is strictly limited to adults 18 years of age and older.

Acceptance of These Terms

Your access to Hibbly constitutes a binding agreement to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. Continued use of the platform after any update to these Terms signals your acceptance of the revised version, whether or not you have re-read it in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must stop using Hibbly immediately and refrain from creating or maintaining an account. Creating a profile, completing the onboarding quiz, swiping on other members, or sending a message are all actions that count as acceptance of these Terms. If you are acting on behalf of another person or an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to this agreement.

Eligibility and 18+ Age Requirement

Hibbly reserves the right to request additional verification of your age or identity at any time, and to suspend or refuse access to any account where we reasonably suspect a user does not meet the eligibility requirements. Information collected for verification purposes is handled according to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how it is protected.

Misrepresenting your age, identity, marital status, or any other material fact on your profile is a violation of these Terms and grounds for immediate account termination without notice. Hibbly may also deny service to anyone for any lawful reason, including a documented history of policy violations on this or an affiliated platform. Eligibility is not limited to age alone - you must also have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and must not be barred from using dating services under applicable law in your jurisdiction.

Account Registration and Security

A Hibbly account is required to browse verified profiles, send messages and access matching features. Registration is intentionally short, but the obligations that come with an account are the same as on any dating apps platform.

Creating an Account

You must complete registration with information that is truthful and current. Accounts created using false identities, stolen photographs, or on behalf of someone who has not authorized it are prohibited.

Accurate Information

Your name, age, gender, and preferences displayed on your profile must reflect reality. You are responsible for keeping this information updated if your circumstances change.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

One Account Per Person

Members may hold only one active account. Duplicate accounts, accounts created after a suspension, or accounts used to circumvent a block from another member are not permitted. In short, membership obligations include:

• Providing accurate, current registration details
• Protecting your password and device access
• Reporting suspected unauthorized use without delay
• Maintaining a single account tied to your identity

User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

Hibbly exists to help real people meet, so the platform depends on members treating each other respectfully. The following activities are prohibited on Hibbly and may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal:

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abusive messages directed at another member
• Impersonating another person, celebrity, or entity, or creating a fake or misleading profile
• Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to create accounts, scrape profiles, or interact with members
• Soliciting money, gifts, cryptocurrency, or financial information from other members
• Posting or sending sexually explicit images, illegal content, or content that violates the rights of others
• Advertising, promoting a business, or sending unsolicited commercial spam through messages or your profile
• Sharing another member's private information, screenshots of conversations, or photographs without consent
• Attempting to bypass blocks, reporting tools, verification checks, or other safety features built into the platform
• Engaging in any activity that is illegal under applicable federal, state, or local law

Hibbly's platform includes multiple dedicated trust and safety features - profile verification, reporting tools, blocking controls, and content review among them - used to enforce these standards. Reported violations are reviewed against these prohibited-activity categories, and enforcement can range from a content removal to a permanent account ban depending on severity and history.

Subscriptions, Billing and Cancellations

Hibbly offers a free account tier alongside optional paid features that may be introduced or adjusted over time. Any pricing, currency, and billing frequency applicable to a paid feature is disclosed to you before you confirm a purchase.

Paid Features

Certain enhanced features may require payment. The scope of what each paid feature unlocks is described at the point of purchase, not within these Terms.

Automatic Renewal

Where a paid feature is offered on a recurring basis, it may renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. Renewal terms are presented to you before you subscribe.

Cancellation

You may cancel a recurring paid feature at any time through your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law.

Refunds

Refund eligibility, where applicable, is handled on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with the payment method's terms and applicable consumer protection law. Contact support for any billing dispute.

Intellectual Property and Your Content

All site materials, including the Hibbly name, logo, design, interface elements, and underlying software, are the property of Hibbly or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that material to you.

When you upload a photo, write a bio, or send a message on Hibbly, you retain ownership of that content. You grant Hibbly a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform, including showing your profile to other members as part of the matching experience.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and confirm that you have the right to share it. Do not upload content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal rights. Hibbly may remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service Provided As Is

Hibbly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

No Guarantee of Matches or Outcomes

Hibbly facilitates connections between verified members but does not guarantee that you will find a match, a relationship, or any particular outcome from using the platform.

Interactions With Other Users

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, online and offline. Exercise caution, meet in public places, and inform a friend or family member before meeting someone in person. Hibbly's verification process reduces but does not eliminate the risk of encountering a dishonest profile.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hibbly and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including damages resulting from interactions with other members. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the platform is to stop using it.

Suspension and Termination of Accounts

Hibbly may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, provide false information, or where required by law. Where practical, we will attempt to notify you of the reason for enforcement action, though immediate suspension without prior notice may occur in cases of suspected fraud, harassment, or safety risk.

Upon termination, your access to the platform ends and your profile is removed from active discovery. Certain records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. You may also close your own account at any time through your account settings, which initiates the same removal process.

Dispute Resolution, Arbitration and Governing Law

Informal Resolution First

If a dispute arises between you and Hibbly, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting support and describing the issue in good faith.

Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Hibbly will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where applicable law permits either party to bring a claim in small claims court.

Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or proceeding will be conducted on an individual basis, and you waive the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding against Hibbly.

Governing Law of the United States

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent consistent with applicable federal and state consumer protection law.

Changes to These Terms and Contact Information

Hibbly may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or platform features. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Hibbly after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
